Today's "look-at-me!"draft buzzhas ESPN's Adam Schefter squeaking louderthan Mel Kiper and Todd McShay by guaranteeing the Rams will take Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford No. 1 overall .
"I'm willing to take all bets on that one right now,"said Schefter, who went on to say "there's no way" the Rams won't take Bradford.
Schefter could be right. Or he could bewrong and few willcare or remember. (See:Favre/"schism.")
Neither Kiper nor McShay have Bradford, who is coming of serious shoulder surgery, going in the top five.

"I notice that Sam Bradford is not in their top five," Schefter said of his ESPN co-draft promoters, er, workers. "I can promise you that's wrong. I can promise you that's wrong."
I wouldn't be surprised if Bradford went No. 1 overall. Schefter's argument has merit since the Rams are a crappy team in dire need of a franchise QB. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised if Bradfordand his bum shoulder were still on the board toward the bottom of the first round.
Tis theseason oflies, misinformation and smokescreens. Thirty-two teams distribute iton a daily basis. Then, on draft day, those same 32 teamswill crawl from their bunkers and tell the worldtobelieve that every player they gotwas a steal who was rated much higheron their draft board.
Personally, I still like the Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh as the best bet at No. 1 overall. Heplays a lot like Kevin Williams, which would be good enough for No. 1 overall in my book.
