NEW ORLEANS -- Looks like another warm, sunny one out there today.
It's gonna be even hotter in the Superdome for the Vikings on Sunday, if ya know what I mean.
The Saints have had 21 of their 36 sacks and 22 of their 41 takeaways at home this season. On the flip side, Brett Favre has taken 23 of his 37 sacks and had seven of his nine giveaways (five picks, two lost fumbles) while going 4-4 on the road, including the current three-game road losing streak.
Former Viking and current Saints safety Darren Sharper was talking about the attitude that defensive coordinator Gregg Williams brought to that side of the ball when he arrived this season.
"He said we're going to play a certain style of defense," Sharper said. "He said we're not going to be the poor stepchild to our offense."
(You ever wonder why stepchildren always get called out in a negative way?)
