Vikings owner Zygi Wilf declined to comment Monday evening when asked about a possible contract extension for coach Brad Childress while attendingaTaste of the NFLeventsponsored by theVikings at International Market Square in Minneapolis.
Childress is in the second to last year of the deal he signed in 2006 and with the Vikings off to a 7-1 start some have speculated that he could receive an extension this week with the Vikings having their bye. Childress and his coaching staff will spend part of the week going over the Vikings' first eight games and doing a self-scout. But the coaches are going to get some time off as well.
